Enter Xevious - an action-packed arcade game developed by Namco in 1982 that puts players in control of Earth’s only hope: The powerful new Solvalou Fighter Plane. Players have one mission: Penetrate enemy ranks and destroy the Xevious Mother Ship before it's too late! It's not going to be easy though; you'll have to dodge multiple waves of enemies attacking from land and air while destroying as many targets as possible for bonus points.

Controls consist of two buttons for shooting bullets at ground targets (the A button) or missiles at flying targets (the B button). Bonus items also appear throughout levels which provide extra protection or additional weapons when collected. With its innovative mix of action/strategy gameplay, intense aerial combat sequences, challenging levels requiring quick reflexes, plus cool sound effects; Xevious quickly became a classic among video games.
