Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception is an incredible adventure game that will captivate gamers with its beautiful visual novel story, intriguing characters, fast-paced SRPG combat, world-class soundtrack and more. Players take on the role of Haku, a man who finds himself in unfamiliar surroundings atop a snowy mountain with nothing but a hospital gown and a splitting headache. However, he's soon rescued by Kuon - a young girl with animal ears and tail. With no memory of anything prior to his arrival there, Haku joins Kuon on her journey across the land as they encounter colorful characters (including more animal people!), build relationships, battle enemies and get caught up in the political machinations of Yamato.

The game itself is incredibly immersive thanks to its stunning art style which helps bring the vivid world alive before your eyes; while the real time tactical battles add an exciting element to proceedings as you have to make quick decisions about how best to use your team’s skillset against challenging foes. The excellent soundtrack only serves to further enhance this experience by providing memorable music for both peaceful moments and intense battles alike; while building meaningful relationships between Haku and other characters provides plenty of emotional depth too.
