Trace Memory is an adventure video game developed by Cing for the Nintendo DS. It was released in 2005 and follows Ashley Mizuki Robbins, a fourteen-year-old girl who embarks on a journey to uncover the mystery of her parents’ disappearance from Blood Edward Island eleven years earlier. The events of the game take place on this fictional island, with players assuming control of Ashley as she navigates through 3D environments and attempts to solve puzzles.

The story begins when Ashley receives a package from her father containing a birthday card and a device called DAS (Dynamic Autonomous System), programmed to respond only to her biometrics. The package contains a message claiming that he is waiting for her on Blood Edward Island. With little else known about what happened all those years ago, Ashley sets off on an epic quest filled with challenging puzzles and captivating adventures in search of answers regarding the mysterious circumstances surrounding her parents' disappearance.

Players use point and click system or drag their stylus across the touchscreen display located at the bottom screen which shows an aerial view of Ashely’s current location while pre-rendered images are displayed at top screen depicting where she currently stands.
