Total War: Shogun 2 is a turn-based real-time strategy game set in feudal Japan during the 16th century. Originally developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega, it has since been re-released as part of the Total War: Master Collection on Steam. Players choose from one of nine clans (or ten with Ikko-Ikki DLC) to become their leader and guide them to victory over their enemies.

Each clan possesses unique traits, skills, and an RPG style warlord that players can customize as they progress through the game’s campaign map. The user interface is intuitively designed for players to build cities, recruit troops, issue orders both honorable and dishonorable all while maneuvering diplomatically or politically against other enemy forces.
