The King of Fighters XII is the twelfth installment in the popular fighting game series, and it has been completely redesigned from top to bottom to celebrate its 15th anniversary. The game features a streamlined battle system and all-new high-resolution character sprites and backgrounds. Battles are fought between two teams of three fighters each, although the tag system from the previous games has been removed. There are 22 playable characters in total, including two exclusive ones for home releases.

Players can choose from a range of modes such as Arcade Time Attack (five rounds), online or local Versus mode, Practice mode for honing your skills, Replay mode for reviewing past battles, and an unlockable art gallery which includes concept artwork related to the game’s characters.
