The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story is an investigative adventure game set across four different eras in Japan. Players take on the role of Haruka Kagami, a detective tasked with uncovering the truth behind the mysterious deaths of the ill-fated Shijima family over the last century. In order to do so, Kagami must use her powers of deduction and explore both past and present to discover clues related to the 'Fruit of Youth' said to be hidden somewhere within the Shijima Mansion. As she interviews suspects and puts together pieces of evidence, players must counter arguments from those who are unwilling to cooperate in order for them reach a correct conclusion. The game features puzzles designed in such a way that even players with rusty detective skills can get back on their feet if they don't give up.
