The Cat Lady is a psychological horror-adventure video game developed by Harvester Games and released in 2012. It tells the story of Susan Ashworth, an introverted 40 year old woman who has been struggling with depression and loneliness her entire life. Through a series of supernatural events, she discovers that five strangers called The Parasites are out to hurt her unless she can hurt them first.

The Cat Lady takes players on an emotional journey as they help Susan confront her inner demons in order to survive the dark forces surrounding her. Players will explore dark themes such as suicide, grief and mental illness while trying to piece together the truth behind The Parasites’ motives. Along the way they must gather clues, make tough decisions, use weapons and items strategically, solve puzzles and ultimately decide whether or not to take revenge against those who have wronged Susan.

The game features unique pixel art visuals which further enhances its haunting atmosphere; combined with a moody soundtrack it creates an overwhelmingly oppressive feeling throughout each level that really immerses you into its world. Its engrossing plotline full of twists keeps even veteran gamers guessing until the very end - making it one of most beloved indie games ever made!
