Summon Night 5: An Adventure Through a Changing World Set in the contemporary city of Savorle, Summon Night 5 is a tactical role-playing game that brings together different cultures and tribes from across the world. The player can choose to play as either a male or female protagonist and select four separate Cross (partner) characters. Depending on which combinations are selected, dialogue and story progression will differ significantly, resulting in eight unique paths through the game.

The medieval setting of previous entries has been replaced by this more modern take on the world, but with plenty of familiar features still present. Players must help their chosen character navigate their way through this new environment while discovering all it has to offer along the way. This journey takes place over a large grid viewed from an adjustable isometric perspective - each step being taken in turn based fashion - allowing for strategic decision making where needed.

Players will be challenged throughout as they strive to restore peace within Savorle's borders; facing enemies ranging from powerful monsters to rival adventurers all out for glory or treasure!
