The premise of this unique video game is that after Galactic Empire declares they have officially banned Jabba the Hutt’s podraces, Jabba creates a more life-threatening vehicular combat contest to replace them. Players take on the role of either a Rebel pilot or Imperial forces as they battle it out with ubiquitous vehicles from the Star Wars franchise such as Speeder Bikes, AT-STs (All Terrain Scout Transports), and TIE Bombers among others. Additionally, players are able to upgrade their vehicle's weapons systems as well as armor plating with credits earned during battles which adds an extra level of strategy to winning battles against other opponents online or offline.
What makes Star Wars: Demolition stand out from similar games available at its time was its destructible environments filled with power ups scattered throughout each stage for added excitement along with interactive commentary provided by C3PO and R2D2 adding some comic relief between missions.
