Rising Storm is the latest game in the Red Orchestra franchise. It takes realistic graphics, audio and gameplay of RO2 to a new level by enabling players to fight iconic battles from WWII's Pacific Theater. Players can take part in beach assaults, jungle fighting and close quarters night-fighting as either US Army/Marine Corps or Imperial Japanese forces on up to 64-player servers. Asymmetrical warfare is also introduced with the Americans having an advantage due to their semi-automatic rifles, fully automatic weapons and flamethrowers while the Japanese rely on knee mortars for indirect fire, booby traps made from grenades and close quarter combat using bayonets and katanas.
