Pentiment is an interactive narrative adventure video game that immerses players in a living illustrated world inspired by illuminated manuscripts and printed woodcuts. Pentiment is an upcoming 16th-century narrative adventure, set in Upper Bavaria. Players take on the role of Andreas Maler, a journeyman artist working in the bygone scriptorium of Kiersau Abbey during a time of great social unrest. As he works to finish his masterpiece, Andreas finds himself embroiled in a series of murders spanning 25 years. It's up to players to investigate and interrogate all sorts of characters—peasants, thieves, craftsmen, monks and nuns, nobles and even saints—in order to uncover the truth behind this dark mystery.

Developed by indie studio Foggy Fiction Games with help from publisher Buka Entertainment’s IndieGala Selects program Pentiment offers players an immersive experience into life during this tumultuous period in history. With gorgeous hand painted visuals inspired by Renaissance artwork and stunningly detailed environments filled with plenty of secrets waiting for you around every corner; it’s clear that much effort has gone into making Pentiment come alive onscreen.
