In Career Mode you must work your way up through different leagues competing against other pilots from all over the world in Arenas set across various stages globally. There are three different game modes available - Versus mode (battle it out solo or team up with friends), Co-op mode (play together as one team) and Ultimate Attack (go head to head in a last man standing showdown). You'll need to use a combination of special ranged attacks, combos and ultimate attacks to take down your opponents.
