OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast is the latest installment in the classic OutRun series of racing video games. This game features 15 unique cars, the most ever seen in any OutRun game. In addition to the ten cars from OutRun 2 SP, new models include the 550 Barchetta, F355 Spider, Superamerica, 328 GTS and Ferrari F430. Some models cannot be unlocked on PlayStation Portable or PlayStation 2 without using cross-system connectivity feature inherent to both systems.

Players can choose from a wide range of cars that includes sports coupes and luxury sedans with varying top speeds and handling characteristics to match their driving style. The main objective is still to outrun rival racers while avoiding obstacles on scenic roads filled with tight turns and hairpin curves. The player's performance will determine which route they take through branching paths along various international locations including Tokyo’s Shuto Expressway, Las Vegas’ Nevada Desert and London’s Tower Bridge Road among others.

The game also comes with two multiplayer modes; Online mode allows players around the world to challenge each other via network play while split screen mode lets up to four friends race against one another locally at home or online over Xbox Live!
