All about game NHL 10
NHL 10 is the 19th installment in EA Sports' long-running NHL video game series. Released back in 2009, it was met with positive reviews and remains a fan favorite to this day. It features realistic gameplay mechanics, improved graphics and sound, as well as an extensive list of new features that were absent from previous games in the series.
The game debuted at Hockey Fest '09 - a three-day interactive festival celebrating the sport of hockey and the Los Angeles Kings. The tagline for NHL 10 was "Good Old Hockey", with television ads featuring Stompin' Tom Connors' famous song "The Hockey Song" or "The Good Old Hockey Game". This theme carries over into the game itself, which has been praised for its accurate representation of hockey culture and atmosphere.
In terms of gameplay mechanics, NHL 10 introduces several changes from its predecessors such as enhanced player physics providing more realistic collisions on ice; improved AI allowing players to make smarter decisions; better puck control allowing users to take advantage of their surroundings; and an all-new fighting engine that gives gamers more control during fights. Additionally, there are also plenty of customization options available including team logos/jerseys, arena lighting effects and crowd chants/sounds among others.
Unfortunately however, NHL 10 is only available on Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3 platforms due to it being the first game in the series not released on PC or PlayStation 2 consoles. In addition to this limitation, online services for NHL 10 have since been discontinued since October 1st 2011 - meaning no online play is possible anymore either unfortunately!
Overall though despite these limitations placed upon it by time passing by - NHL 10 remains one of EA's most successful entries into their long running hockey franchise thanks to its intuitive controls & intense action combined with its excellent presentation & visuals making it still worth playing even today!
