This game allows players to experience a different gaming session every time they play, as large parts of the levels are randomly generated. Players have access to guns and cybernetic abilities in order to blast through walls, while also having the option of playing different roles such as the Hacker or Cyber Psycho in order to complete tasks differently.

The main objective of Neon Chrome is for players to upgrade their character stats and discover new cybernetic enhancements in order to build up strength and finally stop the Overseer.
