All about game Need for Speed: Nitro

Need for Speed: Nitro is the fourteenth installment in the iconic long-running racing video game franchise Need for Speed. Published by Electronic Arts, it was released in November 2009 exclusively for Wii and Nintendo DS platforms. This marked a significant change from previous titles, as it was the first time that a Need for Speed game had not been made available to PC gamers.

The development of Need For Speed: Nitro was handled by two teams - EA Montreal took on production duties while Firebrand Games' Florida studio developed the DS version separately. Having previously worked on several Nintendo titles, EA Montreal were well equipped to bring this exciting new title to life on both consoles. The DS edition of the game went one step further with an improved version entitled Need For Speed: Nitro-X released in November 2010 via DsiWare.

Need For Speed: Nitro sees racers competing against each other across exotic locations around the world such as Rio de Janeiro and Shanghai - all rendered beautifully with vivid colour and detailed backgrounds recreated from their real life counterparts. Players can choose from over thirty licensed cars including classic muscle cars like Mustangs or modern supercars like Lamborghinis – all fully customisable with unique paint jobs & decals! With a number of different race types including drag races, circuit races and drift competitions there’s plenty of variety when it comes to how you want to play your game!

For those who enjoy some wheel-to-wheel action then look no further than ‘Hunter Mode’ which pits you against AI opponents who will do anything they can (including ramming!) to win! Overall, if you’re looking for an arcade racer packed full of stunning visuals, easy controls and adrenaline pumping action then look no further than Need For speed: Nitro!
