Mortal Kombat: Deception is the sixth installment of the renowned Mortal Kombat franchise. Developed on the same engine as Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, it features a variety of new and returning game modes including Arcade, Versus, Practice and a unique mini-game mode called Konquest Adventure. The Krypt has also been expanded to include new items for players to find.
The Playstation 2 and Xbox versions offer online, competitive play against other players in addition to all of these great features. The Gamecube version lacks online play but does feature two exclusive characters – Goro and Shao Kahn – available only in this edition of the game.
