Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is an exploration-driven first-person shooter hybrid and sequel to the 2002 classic Metroid Prime. In this game, players take on the role of Samus Aran as she lands on Aether, a planet torn into two distinct parts—a light world and dark world. The objective is to help Aether’s remaining inhabitants defend their home from invaders from its dark incarnation by travelling between both worlds, gathering power ups and braving oppressive environments.

The game features a variety of new weapons for Samus to use against her enemies as well as upgraded versions of some familiar powers like the Morph Ball and Grapple Beam. One interesting addition is the Light Suit which allows you to traverse certain areas in either realm that were previously inaccessible due to darkness or intense heat or cold conditions respectively. There are also four different “Aetherian Keys” scattered throughout both realms that must be collected in order to unlock certain areas within them. The main antagonist in this game is Emperor Ing who has sent his forces through portals between both realms with intent on claiming Aether for himself and it’s up to Samus (and you) stop him!

Players will have plenty of opportunities for exploration here with lots of hidden secrets tucked away all over each world waiting patiently for those brave enough willing enough seek them out – whether it be energy tanks, missile expansions or even brand new suits along your journey there's something around every corner just begging for discovery! Additionally, there are various puzzles scattered about requiring you solve them using your wits (or brute force!) before being able move further ahead into whatever area lies beyond it.
