Mega Man Powered Up is a PSP action platformer game where players join Mega Man on his quest to restore peace in the world after Dr. Wily takes control of several robots. Players can explore totally redesigned level structures featuring modified map structures and varied item locations as well as create their own levels with an intuitive level editor option that allows for endless possibilities such as customizable enemy, object placement and music. Additionally, there is also the Mega Man Challenge 100 which features 100 different short stages each with its own objectives and challenges. Finally, players can even play as any of the eight boss robots in the game utilizing their unique abilities to zip past obstacles.

Mega Man Powered Up, known as Rockman Rockman in Japan, is a remake of the original Mega Man game released for the PlayStation Portable in March 2006. The game uses a chibi-style that was intended for the original but not achievable at that time. This style allowed for faithful recreation of characters and gameplay from the first installment while utilizing advances in technology.

The remake received generally positive reviews from critics who praised its modernized visuals and level design. However, despite this reception, it failed to gain much traction with consumers which led to an eventual cancellation of plans for a sequel titled Mega Man Powered Up 2.

Despite its sales failure, Mega Man Powered Up remains an important part of gaming history as one of the earliest attempts by developers to recreate games using more modern technology and updated graphics. It also serves as a reminder that even when classic titles are remade with newer designs they must still remain true to their roots or face lacklustre success like this title did upon release.
