Developed by EA Los Angeles, it was released for Microsoft Windows in 2004 and follows the story of Private Thomas Conlin as he fights with the 1st Marine Division against Imperial Japan. The game puts you directly into Pvt. Thomas Conlin's shoes, allowing you to experience his story firsthand as he struggles to survive amidst intense combat and insurmountable odds.

The game begins on Tarawa, where Pvt. Conlin is among a group of Marines preparing to land on the beachhead under heavy fire from entrenched Japanese forces.
