The world of MechWarrior Online™ is a fast-paced, tactical online shooter set in the BattleTech Universe. Players take on the role of an elite MechWarrior, piloting their own powerful mechanized units known as BattleMechs through intense battles for galactic supremacy.

In MechWarrior Online™, players join one of two factions: the Inner Sphere or Clans Wolf and Jade Falcon. Each team has access to its own unique arsenal of weapons and 'Mechs (short for BattleMechs), which can be customized with various upgrades such as armor plating, jump jets and advanced weaponry. Players will then use these customizations to battle against other players across a variety of maps that feature realistic terrain such as mountains, valleys and cities.

To assist in these battles, each player is accompanied by up to four friendly AI pilots who can provide support during engagements with enemy forces. These AI pilots are customizable too; you can choose from a range of different personalities and play styles so they best complement your own tactics while out on the battlefield.

To ensure fairplay throughout all matches, MechWarrior Online™ features several built-in safety measures such as automatic friend lists that allow friends to always be matched together regardless of skill level; matchmaking systems designed to make sure everyone is evenly matched; anti-cheat technologies; strict ruleset enforcement; dedicated servers that guarantee low latency gameplay worldwide; plus more!
