Mario Strikers: Battle League Football (also known as Mario Strikers) is a 5-on-5 soccer-like game with no rules, where players take control of Mushroom Kingdom characters such as Peach, Toad and Yoshi to score the most goals. Players can use items and perform special shots to boost their scores, while also customizing their characters with gear that augments their stats and appearance. There is also an online club system in which teams of up to 20 people compete against each other for points; the team that earns the most points becomes the world's top club each season. Up to 8 players can play on one Nintendo Switch system, either locally or online, with 4 players per team being allowed in individual matches when playing locally.
