Kirby Battle Royale is a fighting game where up to 4 players can compete online or locally. Players choose from 10+ abilities and 10 battle types, such as Ore Express, Slam Hockey, Robo Bonkers, etc. There's also a single-player Story Mode in which the player must uncover King Dedede's plan while unlocking new abilities and battle types for the Cake Royale tournament. During this competition players will earn Boost Orbs that power up Kirby as well as nostalgic headgear to wear in other modes and even unlock a new playable character. Other modes include 2-on-2 or Free-For-All battles via local wireless or Online Ranked mode with Download Play available too.
