For the first time since 2009, the Halo universe returns to Xbox in real-time strategy format with Halo Wars 2. Developed by Creative Assembly and 343 Industries, this sequel takes place 28 years after the events of the original game, where humanity's forces are pitted against a powerful new enemy: The Banished. Led by Atriox - a cunning and lethal warrior - The Banished possess formidable technology that could tip the balance of power in their favour.

Players take control of Captain Cutter and his crew as they attempt to defend humanity from this new threat on an ancient Forerunner haven known as 'The Ark'. As commander, you'll be able to lead armies of Spartans, Warthogs, Scorpions and other units into battle across huge battlefields filled with destructible environments. You'll be able to use tactics such as flanking maneuvers or quick strikes while managing resources like energy or supplies in order to gain advantages over your opponents.

Halo Wars 2 also offers a variety of multiplayer options including co-op campaign mode where up to three players can join together online for some intense strategic action; traditional deathmatch modes; Skirmish Mode which allows players to create custom battles against AI opponents; Blitz Mode – a lighter version focused on card-based unit deployment; Terminus Firefight – where teams must survive waves of enemies throughout various objectives; plus much more!
