Gran Turismo 2 is the sequel to the popular Sony PlayStation racing game, Gran Turismo. The game offers two different modes of play: Arcade Mode and Gran Turismo Mode.

In Arcade Mode, players are free to choose whatever vehicles they wish to use and can even enable damage if desired. Conversely, in Gran Turismo Mode, players must earn driver's licenses, purchase vehicles and win trophies in order to unlock new courses.

The game features an impressive selection of nearly 650 automobiles plus 27 race tracks including rally tracks for added excitement. As far as gameplay is concerned it’s very similar to its predecessor but with a few major differences such as the large number of cars available and races that can be completed separately without entering into an entire tournament. Qualifying for each race has also been removed from this version of the game though all other aspects remain unchanged from its predecessor which adds great continuity between both games while still offering something fresh for fans of the franchise.
