Golden Axe is an action video game released for Xbox Live Arcade. Players take on the role of one of three characters - a powerful fighter, a female Amazon, or a mighty dwarf - as they battle against the evil Death Adder and his henchmen. The game features enhanced graphics and sound to relive classic arcade moments, along with two high score leaderboards (one for Normal and one for Hardcore play). Multiplayer capability allows up to two players to join in on the fun, while twelve new achievements are included to master.

Golden Axe is an iconic video game released by Sega in 1989 and remains a classic to this day. Players take on the role of three heroes, Ax Battler, Gilius Thunderhead, and Tyris Flare as they battle their way through Death Adder’s henchmen. Along the way they must defeat enemies armed with clubs, maces, skeleton warriors and knights.

Players can use their weapons to attack and jump while also casting spells that hurt all nearby enemies at once. The strength of these spells depends upon how many magic bars are available which are filled up by collecting blue magic potions dropped by small sprites during regular levels or bonus stages between levels. Each hero has different numbers of magic bars and range of attacks- Ax Battler casts earth spells; Gilius Thunderhead shoots lightning spells; and Tyris Flare casts fire magic.

In addition to powerful magical abilities players can also find bizarrians throughout the game including Cockatrice (which swipes its tail) or a more powerful dragon which either breathes fire or spits out fireballs later in the game. These steeds come alive when enemy riders are knocked off or if found dormant providing extra power for players against tougher foes later in the game!

Golden Axe offers hours of entertainment with plenty of unique characters, special powers, magical creatures and challenging opponents - making it one of Sega’s most popular games ever created!
