The story begins with Gish out for a leisurely stroll with his girlfriend Brea when suddenly, he witnesses her getting dragged into an open manhole by an unidentified figure. Without hesitation, Gish dives underground to save her from certain doom in the sewers below. He must traverse through winding corridors filled with all sorts of evil traps and demented creatures as he searches for Brea - all while using his gelatinous structure as his only means of defense!

Players can expect plenty of obstacles along the way that test their problem solving skills and reaction time. There are also various levels within each part of Dross which offer different challenges such as sticky walls or electric eels that need to be avoided at all costs in order to progress further into the game.
