In Dungeons 2, the player takes on the role of the Dungeon Lord as he attempts to extend his dominion over both the underworld and human world. The player must craft a network of dungeons in order to recruit monsters from all corners of the underworld to do their bidding. Once they have established their base in the underworld, they can then go above ground and attempt to conquer human cities with their army of fierce creatures.

The tactical combat system allows players to use various strategies based on terrain and unit positioning when it comes time for battle against enemy forces or heroes attempting to save humanity from destruction. Players also have direct control over minions using something called ‘The Hand Of Terror’ which lets them issue commands or even give out a swift slap if necessary!

Players can choose between two factions: The Horde or The Empire - each having different strengths such as increased gold production or better trained units so it's important that players pay attention while making decisions when selecting which faction they wish to play as at any given moment during gameplay. There are also several single-player campaigns available within this game giving players plenty of content should they want more than just skirmishes against computer opponents .
