All about game Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King is an incredibly popular role-playing game that was released for the PlayStation 2 in 2004. Developed by Level-5 and published by Square Enix, this eighth installment in the Dragon Quest series was later released for Nintendo 3DS in 2015.
The game follows a traditional Japanese RPG format with random enemy encounters, turn-based combat mechanics and management of a party consisting of four characters belonging to different classes. What sets it apart from its predecessors and most other RPGs is its continuous world with vast landscapes as opposed to simply traveling between locations on a map. There are also several objects that can be interacted with such as barrels which can be lifted, carried or broken open to reveal items inside them.
The main story revolves around the protagonist who must embark on an epic journey across continents while trying to save his kingdom from being cursed by an evil wizard named Dhoulmagus. Along his journey, he will gain allies and powerful abilities while solving puzzles, gathering information and battling monsters along the way until he ultimately gets close enough to confront Dhoulmagus himself and break his curse over the kingdom once more.
Overall Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of The Cursed King stands out among all other RPGs due to its unique setting combined with classic role playing elements which makes it one of best games ever made in this genre even 15 years after its initial release date!
