DiRT Rally is an incredible racing video game focused on rallying, developed and published by Codemasters. It was released in April 2015 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game puts players behind the wheel of some of the most iconic rally cars from generations past and present as they take to tarmac and off-road terrain in varying weather conditions.

Upon release, DiRT Rally featured 17 carefully crafted vehicles from different eras ranging from 60s classics such as the Mini Cooper S to modern beasts such as Audi Quattro S1 E2 Pikes Peak Edition all with realistic handling characteristics that will challenge even experienced racers. Players can compete against each other online or race against AI opponents over 36 stages located in three real world locations: Monte Carlo, Wales & Argolis Greece. Additionally, a partnership between Codemasters and FIA World Rallycross Championship announced back in July 2015 has seen several additional cars being added since then including Subaru WRX STI NR4 (2015), Citroen DS3 RX Supercar (2015) and Volkswagen Polo R Supercars (2016).

Unique to this title are asynchronous multiplayer modes where you can compare your best times with those of your friends without actually competing together at the same time which adds a nice layer of competition among your peers. Furthermore there’s also plans for a new ‘Rallycross’ mode that lets up to 8 players battle it out head-to-head on specially designed circuits bringing even more intensity into the mix!
