Diablo II: Lord of Destruction is an expansion to the highly acclaimed hack-and-slash RPG, Diablo II. It adds Act V which concludes the overarching story of the game, offering a new area with more powerful enemies and six new quests for players to complete.

Diablo II: Lord of Destruction follows on from where Diablo II left off. Players pick up their character in Harrogath, located at the edge of Mount Arreat in Sanctuary - which is home to Humanity's last stronghold against Hell's minions. This time around, Baal has summoned a demonic army and threatens all humanity with his horrific power. Players must battle through five Acts that follow Baal as he travels throughout Sanctuary and beyond in order to stop him from completing his mission before it’s too late!

One major feature added by this expansion is two brand-new playable character classes – The Assassin and The Druid – both with unique abilities that make them formidable opponents when facing down hordes of monsters or other players in PvP combat. Both classes have access to skill trees filled with powerful skills that are unlocked as they progress through the game; allowing players great flexibility when customizing their characters build according to their playstyle. In addition, there are also several new item types such as runes and jewels; each providing unique bonuses depending on how many are used together - adding even more customization options for your character’s build!

Finally, there are multiple endgame content available once you have completed all six quests offered by Diablo II: Lord Of Destruction including Uber Bosses like Duriel or Mephisto; Ladder Events like Uberskillz runs or Key Runs; PVP Arenas where you can test your mettle against other human players online; Crafting Recipes for creating powerful items using Orbs found throughout Act 5 areas among others activities waiting for those brave enough accept its challenge! All these features combined makes this expansion one of Blizzard Entertainments most successful games ever released back then (2001) still standing strong today after almost 20 years since its release date proving why it deserves being part its “Hall Of Fame” category within gaming industry culture .
