Crucible was released in May 2020 and has had a tumultuous journey since then. The game, developed by Amazon Games, is a team-based action shooter that requires players to work together to take down aliens and capture objectives.

The pre-season of Crucible ran until June when it switched to closed beta so the developers could adjust the game based on user feedback with scheduled community events and tournaments. However, even with these changes being made, the development was eventually discontinued in October as the team transitioned to working on other projects such as New World.

Before match making is completely taken offline there will be one final playtest and community event for all those who have enjoyed playing Crucible over its short lifespan. After this event takes place custom games will be the only available mode till November 9th when servers are planned to be shut down for good.

Although Crucible's time may have been brief it has still given many gamers an intense experience filled with thrilling battles against both opponents and alien creatures alike while also providing them with opportunities to bond with their fellow competitors through tactical teamwork needed for success within each match. While some may feel saddened by its departure we can still look back fondly at what has been accomplished during its run here on Earth!
