Cossacks: The Art of War is a real-time strategy game that continues the history of great battles from the 17th and 18th centuries. It was developed by GSC Game World and released in 2003.

The game features five new campaigns, two nations (Russia and Turkey), some additional units, new terrain types, improved AI and more. Players can choose between singleplayer campaigns or skirmishes against computer opponents or other players online. There are over one hundred different unit types available to recruit for your armies including infantry, cavalry, artillery and light cavalry with their own strengths and weaknesses. In addition to military units there are also merchants who can purchase resources such as food and weapons which will be used to build up your army’s strength during battle.

Players have full control over their troops on the battlefield giving them access to a wide range of tactics such as flanking maneuvers, ambushes etc., which all add an extra level of depth to the gameplay experience.
