Contra: Rogue Corps is the latest installment in the long running Contra franchise and it brings with it a plethora of new features that fans have come to expect. This twin-stick, third-person action game is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC (STEAM), giving gamers plenty of options to play this classic game. Developed by Nobuya Nakazato—the director of Contra III: The Alien Wars and Contra: Hard Corps—this entry seeks to continue the series’ tradition of fast-paced combat with its over-the-top violence and enormous crazed enemies.

The story takes place several years after the events of the Alien Wars as players take control of a former military group living as bounty hunters in Damned City. In order to survive they must rely on their quick reactions, powerful weapons and occasional cybernetic augmentation. Players will complete missions in PVE campaigns while gathering resources for upgrades so they can stay alive longer in this unforgiving environment. If one player isn’t enough there are also online or local multiplayer modes for up four people at once!

Overall, Contra: Rogue Corps looks like an excellent addition to an already iconic franchise that should please both newcomers and veterans alike thanks its accessible gameplay mechanics but challenging difficulty levels which will appeal across a broad spectrum of skill sets. With great graphics, sound design and deep customization options make sure you keep your eyes open for when this title releases later this year!
