Cogs is an engaging puzzle game where players build machines from sliding tiles. Players can choose from 50 levels and 3 different gameplay modes: Inventor, Time Challenge, and Move Challenge. In the Inventor mode, players are introduced to various widgets such as gears, pipes, balloons, chimes, hammers etc., which they must use to build contraptions quickly and efficiently in order to unlock new puzzles. The Time Challenge mode requires fewer moves for a solution but only allows 30 seconds for completion while Move Challenge provides 10 moves but does not impose time limits on solutions.
