Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO is a classic fighting game released in 2002, originally for the arcades and later ported to home consoles such as PlayStation 2 and Xbox. This version of the game features minor changes in gameplay, as well as an Easy Operation (EO) system that allows players to perform specific attacks by simply moving the right analog stick in a certain direction. Along with this new feature, four bonus characters are also included: Evil Ryu, Orochi Iori, Shin Akuma (Shin Gouki in Japan), and Ultimate Rugal (God Rugal in Japan).

The game offers a selection of grooves before selecting a team which can change the way it is played; two different modes are available - AC-ism or GC-ism Groove mode. The GC-ism simplifies the control scheme for use on GameCube controllers while it's called EO-ism on Xbox versions. Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO also removed Roll Cancel glitch that was present in other versions of this popular fighting video game series – making sure all fighters move through each matchup fairly and evenly balanced.

On top of these improvements made to the original release, Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO includes online play for up to two players on Xbox Live along with progressive scan support (480p) noticeable absent from its PS2 version counterpart,. Allowing fans around world to test their skills against one another without having leave their own living rooms!
