Banjo-Tooie is a video game where Banjo and his friends have to stop the evil witch Grunty from taking over their world. Two years after the events of Banjo Kazooie, the gang are playing cards when an earthquake happens. Mumbo goes out to investigate and finds that two witches have revived Grunty, who shoots a laser beam at Banjo's house. Mumbo warns everyone but Bottles doesn't believe him and stays in the house, which is then blown up by Grunty. Motivated by revenge for Bottles' death, Banjo sets off on an adventure to defeat Grunty and revive Bottles.
