Atelier Rorona Plus: The Alchemist of Arland is a role-playing video game released for the PlayStation 3 and Vita in 2014. It is a remake of the 2009 title Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland, adding additional content to the main story and gameplay mechanics. Players take on the role of protagonist Rorolina Frixell (Rorona) as she attempts to save her alchemy workshop from closure by passing twelve examinations over three years.

The game opens with an introduction to Arland, a city that has been industrialized while still maintaining its ancient technology. We are then introduced to our hero, Rorona, who must work for master alchemist Astrid Zexis in order to pay off her parents' debt. When Sterkenburg Cranach (Sterk), a knight from Arland arrives at the workshop one day, he informs Rorona that it will be shut down unless she can prove it can function economically within the city's economy over the next three years - this is where her trials begin!

Players will have to balance completing tasks set out for each examination with fulfilling requests made by citizens around town such as creating items or collecting resources like ore and plants so they can use them in their recipes later on when crafting items for sale at shops or auctions houses around town. As well as managing time effectively players will also need strategy when deciding which quests/requests they should focus on first since some may require more attention than others - but if you successfully complete all 12 exams your shop will be saved!
