In Arkanoid DS, players take control of the Vaus – a space vessel that acts as a paddle which prevents a ball from falling off the playing field. By bouncing it against blocks located at different points on the screen, players can cause them to disappear and progress through levels. As they progress further into each level more difficult variations are introduced such as multiple hit bricks or flying enemy ships while power-up capsules help enhance their experience by providing features such as expanding their Vaus’ size or equipping it with lasers amongst other things.
