Age of Mythology: Extended Edition is a classic real-time strategy game that transports players to the time when heroes did battle with monsters of legend and gods intervened in the affairs of mortals. This Steam version features improved graphics, water, lighting, along with day/night cycles, Treaty gamemode, Steam achievements and mod workshop compared to the original release.

The game allows you to use mythological creatures such as minotaurs or cyclopes to bolster your armies' strength. As a player you can call upon the gods for assistance in flattening enemy towns with meteors or scatter opposing troops with lightning storms - making it an exciting yet challenging experience! In addition there are three different cultures available for play including Egyptian, Greek and Norse which each come with their own unique units Gods and special powers.

You can also choose from two single-player campaigns which allow you explore story based on mythology from these three cultures while fighting against enemies through multiple levels or scenarios. You have full control over how your civilization evolves by deciding what type of buildings your city will construct as well as what units should be trained to fight battles against other civilizations.
