All about game Age of Mythology

Since its release in 2002, Age of Mythology has been one of the most beloved real-time strategy video games. Developed by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios, the game transports players to a mythical world inspired by ancient civilizations such as Greece, Egypt, and Norse. The main campaign follows an Atlantean admiral named Arkantos who must battle against Poseidon and his cyclops allies in order to save Atlantis from destruction.

Players familiar with the Age of Empires series will find many similar gameplay elements within Age of Mythology. Players are tasked with building their own empires while engaging in warfare against rival nations. However, what really sets this game apart from other RTS titles is its focus on mythology instead of actual historical events or figures; elements like gods battling alongside human troops give it an unique flavor that keeps fans coming back for more all these years later.

Age of Mythology was a commercial success upon release, quickly going platinum after selling over one million units just four months into its lifespan. This success spawned two expansion packs: Age of Mythology: The Titans (2003) and Age of Mythology: Tale Of The Dragon (2016). Most recently, an extended edition was released via Steam on May 8th 2014 which featured updated visuals and improved multiplayer support - further adding onto an already stellar package developed back in 2002.
