Batman: Arkham City is an action-adventure video game developed by Rocksteady Studios and released in 2011. The game builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum to send players soaring into the new maximum security home for all of Gotham City's criminals - Arkham City. Players assume the role of Batman as he navigates a sprawling district surrounded by fortified walls, encountering classic characters and deadly villains from the Batman universe.
