Death to Spies is a video game based on the Soviet counterintelligence service, SMERSH. The player takes on the role of a captain in the 4th department of this organization and must complete various missions during World War II, such as stealing important documents, eliminating enemy officers or high-ranking officials, kidnapping, and sabotage. These missions are based on real historical events and operations that were carried out by military intelligence and counterintelligence forces during the war. Players must use stealth tactics to avoid detection while completing their objectives in an effort to help secure victory for the Red Army. Death to Spies offers players an immersive experience into life behind enemy lines during one of history’s most iconic wars.
